The MIT Idea Bank is an interactive forum that harnesses the innovative and collaborative spirit of the
Institute. Established in 2009 to capture cost-saving ideas during the financial crisis, the Idea Bank is now an on-going tool for engaging the community’s collective wisdom on major issues at MIT.

Housing Dining ReviewCampus Dining has been working with students and faculty to develop the fundamental structure of a new plan for House Dining. Campus Dining has now developed several initial scenarios that need input from the community, especially undergraduate students, on a several vital questions.

It’s up to you to help make a better plan
You can read Campus Dining's case for change and scenario summaries on the House Dining Review website. For the month of April, this draft will be a living, breathing document. The meal plan will not be finalized by the Dean for Student Life until mid-May, after community feedback has been collected, considered, and acted upon.

The Institute-wide Planning Task Force has released its final report, which includes:

  • An overview of MIT’s approach to the recent economic downturn.
  • A full accounting of the 200+ ideas conceived of by the Task Force.
  • A set of recommendations for moving forward and acting on the ideas.
